Default Native Instruments Komplete Sale

The one I've been waiting for NI to have. 50% off. The one I've been waiting for is the Komplete Ultimate Upgrade, which is $199.50 right now. Ends July 1st. Looks like NI has beaten IKM to the realistic upgrade prices, though we've learned it's unfair to compare the two when not in IKM's favor or to otherwise justify their seat at the big table. (Was that outloud??? - I digress.)

Bag to music and virtual instruments. A related question for any piano enthusiasts. The Gentleman and the Grandeur descriptions state that they were sampled from vintage big time pianos, but they do not mention which ones. I want to compare and contrast samples from Synthogy to see how good or bad these are compared to them. Which of Synthogy's efforts would you suggest I use for such an experimental trip? (I still have not pulled that trigger yet, either. It's put up or shut up time for me now to go with selected great sounding instruments or the broad stroke package approach. Anyhow, sorry for a bit of a repeat from a similar query last year. )

The Komplete Ultimate package is the largest single VI and effect package around for anywhere CLOSE to this price. It's a no-brainer at this price. I paid $599 for it and still got a deal.

Check my YouTube channel for a series called PIANO WARS. I go through a bunch of different pianos compared side-by-side with the same passages. It includes the Grandeur and Gentleman. And I have a video detailing everything you get in Komplete and Komplete Ultimate. As well as in-depth videos on each of the pianos included in Komplete.

The Grandeur is a Hamburg Steinway D Concert Grand Piano.

The Gentleman is a Bechstein Model A Upright from 1908.

Benoni, thanks so much for the link and for doing that piano war series. No doubt the Grandeur will be just fine for what I piddle around with. The Maverick, too.

And thanks for the 2-3 hour You Tube journey I ended up on.

As a bit of a heads-up: the latest revision of Kontakt 5 requires El Crapitan or higher on a Mac. If I hadn't dumped a load of cash into RX 6 I would jump on this no problem.

The upgrade - is that Ultimate to Ultimate or what?

That $199.50 price is for Ultimate to Ultimate.

This is the final confirmation that Komplete Ultimate 12 will appear shortly.

Maybe... it will be 2 years in Sept. that's about the right amount of time. BUT, they better have Kontakt 6 and Guitar Rig 6 before they release a new version of Komplete. And they better have some new libraries for us Ultimate users to justify the upgrade cost. Of course I'll probably wait for the summer half price sale for 12 before I upgrade from 11U. I've had this for about 2 years and still haven't been through everything

I waited this long for 11. I'm sure I would have gotten it last year if I saw it for $199.50 update. I must have missed it.

btw - that new installer is awesome! I was dreading the install, wishing it was like Toontracks' EZ and SD drum software. Sho-nuff!
