I'm having the exact problem. I have been trying to check out Pro Tools for a month to make file exchange easier with my producer and others. I finally managed to figure out all the nuances and got it to work last night. I created a project and fiddled with it for a short time. This morning, with a producer in tow to show me around the software, I opened it up and received the error. We both tried troubleshooting for an hour, including clearing out the "Application Data" folder, then uninstalling and reinstalling the entire thing. It was a total waste of time.

Now, my producer flies back tomorrow and I'm stuck without an in person lesson that would have helped SO MUCH. Thank goodness the competitor product I've been using hasn't let me down.

I was intending to upgrade once I decided if I would be comfortable with the interface to make life easier for my producer, but now I'm not convinced. It's ridiculous that this many people are having the same problem and individually getting a "support ticket" opened for them. How about posting the dang solution?

PLEASE OPEN A TICKET FOR ME AS WELL. IVE BEEN TRYING TO FIX THIS "error loading project message" all morning. why do you guys allow these issues.

Has a solution for this surfaced yet? I've had the same problem and it still persists after updating Application Manager to v 2.5.4.325. I've tried reinstalling PTF to no avail.

EDIT: After first just getting the "There was an error posting the project" message, I'm now getting this error...

"Could not create a new document because Assertion in "/Volumes/Development/158351/ProTools/App/Document/UProjectBundleMgr.cpp", line 452."

I have received a prompt note from AVID customer support confirming they have opened a case but they said there's no solution at the moment.
Does anyone have more information / approximate time frame, etc?

No response until today

5 days later...still can't create a project. There was an error posting the project. Cubase, here I come...
