Please Help!! [ProTools 8 LE Installation Error]

I've just received my mbox+Pro tools LE 8 and trying to install the software on a Windows XP sp2 with no luck! the following error takes place 1/4 way thru the installation...

Feature: Documentation
Component: Documentation - LE Hardware
File: H:\protoo-6\data2.cab
Error: Data error (cyclic redudancy check)

Is there a fix on this or what am I supposed to do? I plan to call support tomorow but i dont understand what could be causing this, the cd is brand new.. my optical drive recogizes any cd i've tried except proo tools.

PS to the staff: That support page there on digi very confusing... it's faster for me to call then try to find the contact form on the support page :)

There have been DVDs from AVID that have been less than forgiving on some readers. Try copying the DVD to a hard drive and installing from there.

I tried that and i got an error trying to move data2.cab than the transfer stops...

Hello, i've purchased my mbox+protools from MusiciansFriend.Com. ProTools wasn't purchased from the digi website. But i still get some support no?

The reason why you can't find my registration e-mail it's because i registered under another e-mail address because i never got my registration confirmation e-mail on my comcast.net e-mail. So i used my gmail account and i got it there i dont what's up with that.

I'm wondering where the digi design officies are, because i just called support and they said "We're currently closed - Our Office Ours are Monday Thru Thursday 8:00am-5:00pm" i'm not sure if there is a time difference, i am in the east coast.

But i will try calling later again...

After being on hold for 2 and a half hours on the digidesign support line the guy just sent me an e-mail with a link where i downloaded the new version of protools and the installation was a charm.

i just bought pro tools 8 m-powered and having the same problem! i get the transfer error like above and now the cd wont even install at all.

finally got it to work and everything is up and running.
