Pro Tools 5 Limiter True or Fake ?

Hi , checking tdm digidesign limiter (that included in pro tools)

but seem a fake

setting threshold progressively from 0 db to infinity ,
the track volume decreases ,

but same as possible to do with the fader ,

and clipping on the meter do not change ,
(meter view setted on post fader)

checked also bomb factory la2 and some other.....
that works like the various true hardware limiters i own ,

then : it is fake ?
