Default What is it? Found Digidesign Session 8 Box.

Please Help. I recently found a Digidesign box marked Session 8. What is this and is it of any use without software/cards etc. It has several ins/outs and video slave outs etc.

Hi syak--

Sounds like you found yourself an "882 Studio" interface. This is an older interface that needs to connect to one of the following systems:

• PTIII Nubus
• PT Project Nubus (also known as Session 8 Mac)
• Session 8 PC

A few things to note:

• There are no PCI systems in the above list.
• We don't make any of the above systems anymore.

So basically you need to track down one of the above systems on the used market to use with your 882 Studio interface.

Hope this helps...

Ted B.
