PT 2021.3 Install Issue

I am using the latest version of PT Ultimate and tried to install 2021.3 yesterday. After downloading and beginning the installation the wizard stopped and sent a message that when prompted I would need to make sure and load the correct drivers for the new version. After saying "ok" the wizard immediately went to the end and said it was unable to complete install because the current version of PT wouldn't uninstall. Tried everything and it keeps taking me back to this message. I really don't want to do an uninstall because then I have to go back and reload hundreds of plugins. Anyone have a good solution for me?

The uninstall does not remove the plugins or the folder in which they reside. I always do a complete uninstall before any Pro Tools update.

If you are concerned, you can always copy the plugins folder and replace it after the new install.

Indeed^^^, I have uninstalled and re-installed PT dozens of times and it has never affected plugins in any way

This appears to be the first Windows version that MAKES you uninstall the old version first, which a lot of us always did anyway. You’ll be just fine, and it’s the only way it’s gonna let you do it.
