Information on Complete Production Toolkit? Website vague.

Hello, I've been doing some research and I've come to the conclusion that HD is just out of my price range for the time being and that the mbox family just won't do it for me.

So that pretty much leaves me with an 003/003 Rack right? I think that for what I'm doing and plan on doing in the near to distant future won't require me to track more than 18 inputs at a given time.. I don't think. What's included in terms of plugins with each version?

Can anyone shed some more light on that? I copied this from http://www.avid.com/US/products/003-Factory-Complete. Am I just being dense or is Avid intentionally trying to leave this as vague as possible?

The new website does indeed have some issues. Maybe if you can ask specific questions on what you hope to get, we can answer yes or no. The Complete Production Toolkit gives a lot of functionality and some great extra plugins(like TL Space, which is far better than Dverb). There's not much missing from the package IMHO. Just your personal choices for extra "flavors".

Well take for instance the three bullets that I bolded in that text I copied. They have non specific claims like over 70 virtual instruments, effects plug-ins... If I'm going to consider an item with a MSRP/Sale Price just under two grand I would want to know, what is in it..

Is there any way to tell? With "over $2,650 worth of plug-in's" you would think they'd want to display that kind of information..

Just to give you a hint - look for for it on ebay.
I got my CPT for sensational 600 Euros. This was incredibly lucky I admit, but you will definitely get it there for less than anywhere else, if you have a little patience.

Keep in mind that on Ebay you may see the Toolkit without the extra plug-ins. so bid accordingly.

PTLE v8 (and PT 9) both come with a bunch of plug-ins and VIs as stock items.

Keep in mind that if you upgrade to PT9 that some functionality is changed. You would get more features standard without the complete toolkit, but with it you would get more features that weren't available at all before.

If u did buy it off ebay, u need to be sure u get a boxed version & not jus the asset... Otherwise ur SOL...
