Default Digi 002 carry case Suggestions

Has anyone come across a carry case (or a gig rig of some sort) for the 002. It’s so awkward for location recording. I bought mine just a week before digi announced the 002r.

OK, here's what you do. As the farmers I grew up with say: you take and you get an old suitcase. Or a camera case. Or a whatever....the foam inside is the trick. Look in the Yellow pages for a foam store. Get a couple of pieces. 1" for the bottom and top. Thicker for the middle (say 3-4 inches). Then you put the middle peice in the freezer for the night. Next morning you go over to Aunt Betty's house or grandma's house or Mom's or whoever has an electric knife. The kind you only use once a year at Thanksgiving. The kind you bought with Green Stamps. Use it to cut the hole for the 002. It will work great because the foam is stiffer because it has been in the freezer all night. Put the bottom piece in, then the middle piece with the hole in it and glue the top piece to the lid of the suitcase or whatever...and voila! You got a case my friend. Haunt the Antique stores for an old tweed one. They are the coolest and will match your tweed Strat case.

WTry going to home Depot, Buy a sheet of pespex, in the color of your choice, Cut so that it is one big 8 U blanking plate, now trace around the 002, and carfully drill out the hole that the 002 will mount in, settle the 002 into the hole, hold thee 002 in to place with small velcro tabs, and you are set and have a professional looking racked 002 mixer. Total cost peanuts, just buy 2 sheets of perspex cause the first one may go wrong.
I have done this for other mixers and odd shaped bits of gear.
Should work for thee 002
Have fun

Oh and Fender makes a padded bag that hods up to 3U racks and is a brief case style, if you dont like the DIY sugestion.
