Default DAE 1115 Error with PT 7.4 (win xp)

Hi.

I'm having some problems with my USB mbox2/Pro tools Le 7.4. I've been trying to figure it out with internet resources, but nothing seems to work.

When I launch PT after a reboot it gives me a DAE error-1115 and shuts down. With second time (most of the time) it launches ok, but there's a constant digital noise (some kind of click) on the background, witch messes up my recordings and often the program also crashes.

It seems that the error may be caused by many things, but i've tried all the fixes i found online and nothing has worked. I have tried updateing the program and iLock drivers, but i get the same error everytime. I have also tried different Usb-cables and ports and I have reinstalled software and drivers several times. In fact only one USB-port works at all with my mBox (with others the PT doesn't recognize the hardware and lights in mBox are not really bright).

I have a pretty new computer so is there maybe a compactibility issue? I have also tried running PT in Windows 7 (now i have Xp) but the whole system crashed (most of the time) when i plugged mbox 2 in. Sometimes (rarely thou) in Win7 the PT worked fine for some time but it was very unstable.

I'm currently runngin xp and win7 at same time on different partitions of the same 1Tb hard drive (I installed xp just to get mBox work) using a dualboot system. Could that be an issue? At the moment I have PT and drivers installed only in Xp

Thank you for your answers.

PS.
I posted the same information on orjo's thread on the topic (he was having similar problems.) Sorry for double posting.

Problem solved.

I followed Ojos example and bought a PCI USB 2.0 Adapter and reinstalled Pro Tools. The problem had probably something to do with my motherboard ASUS P7P55 LX.

The Sandra report makes it look like you have a single hard drive that is split into several partitions. If that's the case, you MUST be recording to a separate physical hard drive, and not a partition of the system drive. With a desktop computer, just install a second hard drive for recording. Get a 7200 rpm drive with 32mb cache(like the WD Caviar BLACK) and format it to NTFS BASIC. Avoid any drive that uses the word "green" in its title or description.
