Re: Original Mbox 1 on Windows 7
No. The product is discontinued and there are no Win 7 drivers.

Re: Original Mbox 1 on Windows 7
Well, I have succeded to get my Mbox 1 to work with PT 8.0.1 in windows 7. What I did was that I installed Core driver 7,4 http://avid.custkb.com/avid/app/self...p?DocId=355067 then I installed PT, and it worked.

Re: Original Mbox 1 on Windows 7
I wanted to add my REASON to my computer, so I was forced to download ASIO driver from AVID http://archive.digidesign.com/download/asio/
after that I could start my REASON! //Christian |

Re: Original Mbox 1 on Windows 7
I was unfair about usb-audio (ploytec) driver. They do their best and can make Mbox1 workable on Windows 7/8/10 like digidesign drivers from 10 years ago.
All you have to know is that using "Fast" timing is 128 buffer - do not go lower (just jitter). 128 buffer in case of Mbox1 is 22ms RTL (Round Trip Latency) - it is twice as much as modern USB powered interfaces on the same setting. Yesterday I took mine from the basement and made it work with all ASIO apps I have except... Pro Tools 12. That convinces me PT ASIO implementation sucks. BTW Googling for knowledge I found how to make Mbox1 standalone mic preamp/field mixer: http://www.zachpoff.com/diy-resource...tandalone-mod/ https://www.gearslutz.com/board/low-...-pre-hack.html cheers! |
