AAE -9173 Issues

Awaiting confirmation if 11.3 fixes 9173 errors during playback too …

Probably won't get chance myself to try it now until the new year …. too many looming deadlines to risk installing another potentially buggy update.

Same here. And then I have another project right at the beginning of the new year, with another potential project lined up right on top of that one. 11.2.1 is rock solid stable for me right now. It may be a couple months before I get to install the 11.3 update.

11.3 did NOT fix the -9173 during playback for me either, haven't tried real-time bounce. The dither before error inducing plug-in does work as a workaround so there's that at least.

I had the 9173 issues in both of my rooms and they appear to be gone with 11.3.

I uninstalled 11.2.2 (dragged into trash and emptied), then installed 11.3; trashed prefs and all appears to be well.

When I installed 11.3, I first trashed everything I thought I was supposed to trash on 11.2.1 to perform an uninstall. For the life of me I have no idea why Avid decided NOT to include an uninstaller with PT 11. Ridiculous!! So, when I trashed all the folders I was told to trash it wreaked havoc with all my 3rd party plugins. Then when I tried working with 11.3 I still had the BTD AAE-9173 error the first time I did a BTD!! I don't call that a resolved issue. Also, I could not get the system to record anymore. How ridiculous is that?! So, in total disgust, I removed 11.3 and all it's folders and reinstalled 11.2.1. That is when I had to reinstall all the 3rd party plugins. What a pain in the neck and a waste of time that was. I don't trust PT 11.3 after all that. How can they say the AAE-9173 error is fixed when it clearly is not? I will stick to 11.2.1 for now because at least I can record tracks with it.

11.3 does not fix -9000 errors

11.1.3 rollback here on two rigs and errors have been gone. Almost as stable as 10, too. We'll be sticking with 11.1.3 when using 11. Using 10 100% for tracking.
