Pro Tools Upgrade Question
I will be upgrading my PT|24 system (d24, dsp farm) to a mix system. Is this just a matter of swaping cards? Do I have to re-install Pro Tools, or will the system reconfigure itself?

If you are upgrading to PT Mix, the no software changes are necessary. Upgrading to HD is a horse of another color requiring completely different software.
Someone will correct me if i am wrong.

What version of PT are you using? You may want to upgrade.
At the very least, trash Digisetup so PT can build a new set of prefs. Lee Blaske

If you are upgrading thru Digi, via a retailer, you should then receive the most recent version of Pro Tools along with the PCI cards.
