Transfer of DA38\'s to PT/24 Digitally

What is the best way of getting Tascam DA38 tracks into Pro Tools with an 888/24.I'm thinking on the Tascam IF-AE8 (TDIF to 8ch AES)Trying to avoid using the Tascam TDIF to adat boxes with an adat bridge thinking the AES would sound better then the toslink.
