Default SCSI burner and OSX?

Is anyone using their older SCSI burner with OSX? I have an Yamaha 8424 CDRW. Right now I am rebooting into 9.2 to use it with Toast.

In OSX, this burner is not recognized by iTunes. Anyone know how to make that work. Has anyone had success using their old SCSI burner with Toast or Jam for OSX?

thanks.
