PT 12.6 Quantize to Grid
Hi!
There's something really wrong with quantizing to grid within PT 12.6 When Cmd+0 is pressed, audio clip start is quantized to grid instead of the beat marker! And when the clips get moved, the first one is on top of the second one! I didn't have any problems with this in PT 12.5.2, has something changed or am I doing something completely wrong now?? P.S. Can't go back to 12.5.2 at the moment because there's no installer download in my account.

Re: PT 12.6 Quantize to Grid
I am having issues with quantize to grid also. While using beat detective to cut up drums it is cutting off the beginning of the clip, then when quantizing to the grid it shifts them all back a few samples. I did not have this problem with earlier versions.

Re: PT 12.6 Quantize to Grid
Everything works fine with Event>Event Operations>Quantize - clips are quantized based on sync point locations and clips do stack on top of each other (they're in front).
Quantize to grid (Cmd+0) ignores sync points and aligns clip beginnings to grid as you can see in my first post! And yes, it happens in Slip mode. I have a clue why it's happening : in Pro Tools 12.6 if you hold the Cmd key in Slip mode, you temporarily move clips as in Grid mode. Is there a setting to turn it off? Edit: Selecting Quantize to grid from the menu acts the same, it's a bug I think..

Yes there is no 12.5.2 installer just 12.5 . If you feel that you need urgent to go back to 12.5.2 . Create a case .

Re: PT 12.6 Quantize to Grid
That behavior with Command isn't a bug, it's a new "feature".

This must be a bug!
Quantize to grid simply isn't working! Anyone raised a case with avid?

Re: PT 12.6 Quantize to Grid
I have the same problem when using Beat Detective.
Has anybody found a solution to this yet? If so, I'd be keen hear it and have the old functionality of the shortcut back, as it's pretty key to my workflow. Thanks |

Re: PT 12.6 Quantize to Grid
The bug is still there. I created a case with Avid as soon as I tested PT 12.6.1
