Default Is my Digi002 Control Surface Broken?

Hi all,
When I switch my desk on all I get is the mute light on. No other displays. The faders still have power as they return to zero when pushed up. Protools does not detect the machine. I've only had this for 2 years. Any advice most welcome. HELP!!

Could be the power harness. Flip it over, remove the screws from the bottom and remove the panel. Unplug and replug all the ribbon connections a few times and then try it again. That fixed mine 6 months ago.

Yes,
This is what I've tried, and fingers crossed It appears to work. Is it worth hard wiring/soldering these connections to avoid this problem in the future? Why after only 2 years of use does this issue appear? Cheap manufacturing practices comes to mind!! This puts concerns and doubts in my HD/TDM/Icon upgrade plans. Not impressed.

Rather than solder it all(which may well work), I would use a good contact spray and just start an annual maintenance log and do the deed every groundhog day or something like that. The problem seems to come from dissimilar metals, cheap(as in not gold or silver) pins and/or oxidation from moisture. Some people are having failure right out of the box and others are are on their 3rd or 4th harness in a year. For me its just been a minor one-time glitch. You should review the HD part of the DUC to see if those guys have any similar troubles. I would not let this affect my decision on going HD.
