Default Transport causing midi ghost notes....

Ok, I searched all the ghost note threads and didn't see this problem out there....so whenever I use the transport controls on my 003 and I have Xpand2 on an instrument track, it will play a series of ghost notes but then they will stay on. I have to use the "all midi notes off" command to get it to stop but it does this every time I hit a trans control on the board. Thoughts? I'm using 8.0.3/4b cs2 on Win7 64 bit. I can't post a Sandra at this time cause my system isn't online. Any thoughts just off the top that I could try?

Ok just found out it's like the lowest note on the keyboard, and it's only 1 ghost note....not sure if that helps.

And more weird happenings.....whenever I touch ANY control on the console (fader, save button, transport button....) that makes some kind of change to the session the ghost note plays. Also, if I have 4 or more tracks, the 4th (and only the 4th) fader on my console shoots all the way down while the others on the console (and all on screen) stay at unity (0db). This is nuts....I thought I had escaped most of my problems when I got rid of 8.0.4 drivers but I now have new ones.....great.

Cool Re: Transport causing midi ghost notes....

Ok, another thing I noticed today was that this only happens when a track is selected, doesn't have to be any track in particular, just a track has to be selected. The only way I found to have NO track selected is to delete one. Other than that I can't find a way to unselect tracks. When no tracks are selected everything works great. But this should work properly regardless........I hope someone can shed some light on this for me.

Alt click on a selected track to deselect it. You can do a Sandra without being connected to the internet. Run Sandra and copy/paste the report to a Notepad document. Move that to your internet computer with a USB pen drive.

Awesome, I'll get a Sandra up tonight. One thing I know off the bat you will tell me from the report is my unsupported VIA firewire chipset. I did not know that only TI was supported when I built my pc. So right off the bat could that be the issue?

I would doubt it. Usually using an unsupported firewire configuration results in having disk read/write and buffer issues. I'm sure by using an approved f/w card, you will have better performance but a Sandra report might uncover something else. Which MIDI controller (if any) are you using?

I'm using a Roloand Juno-106, not really a controller, but I'm using midi out.

What happens if you remove one of the video cards? Love to see a Dverb test on the AMD 6 core

scroll down about a third to see what the Dverb test as all about.

I can't reproduce your issue on my system. Win7/64 bit, LE8.0.4, 003, session with several tracks(all types) stereo instrument track with Xpand2 inserted, any track selected. Maybe you need to force a firmware update on your 003? Wish I could remember how to do it
