Video Engine Fails to start

12.5, anyone experiencing this. Can't find any solution anywhere. Was on 12.4, everything worked fine. QT 7.7 / Firepro w7100 graphics. HP Z800 48 gigs, 12 core.

When I start the video engine the progress bar just continues, never starts.

Ugh, I'm shut down.

I can't get video engine to work in either 12.4 or 12.5

Either never loads or keeps throwing unrecoverable error - what else should I try?

you tried the trick with replacing the video engine?

for me it worked, 12.5 only played mxf files exported from media composer, after replacing the 12.5 ave with the one from 12.4 its stable playing mpeg4, prores, h264 and so on...
worth to try!
