Stereo problem with Guitar Rig
Ok, I have a strange problem that I can't solve:
I'm on PT 10 (and Digi002) on Mac and I have a stereo track. Let's call the track "Guit A". Input is "Mic/Line2" which is my electric guitar (= mono input). As an insert I have "Guitar Rig 4.2.2 mono/stereo" . No matter if I record enable that track (input only monitoring) and play my guitar or if a play back what I just recorded it sounds the same. Now here comes the strange part: if I duplicate that track (let's name the new one "Guit B") and try the same it sounds different: the live input guitar input on "Guit B" has a different stereo field than playing back a lick I recorded on that track. Level is the same. If I put a stereo analyzer on the tracks I can even see it: "Guit A" bothe the same, "Guit B" different stereo field (signal more to the sides during live input). Guitar Rig preset is the same of course. Problem also occurs if I manually load the preset instead of duplicating a track. Guitar Rig on both tracks says: "Load Components and Presets in Stereo: ON" and "Default Plugin Input Configuration: mono". If there is no insert in "Guit B" everything is fine... Anyone ? |
