Modifying the Minutes:Seconds Ruler

In the session setup window you can set the session start time. I've never tried setting it to a negataive value but from what you're saying I assume you can.

I have done this before but can't, for the life of me, remember how to do it now. Does anyone know how to modify the Minutes:Seconds Ruler at the top of the Edit screen so that it shows negative values (say -0:10 for minus ten seconds) all the way up to zero and then carries on as normal?

you have to drag your blue session start tempo icon to the right so the session dont start right at the top... So now bar 1 beat 1 will be into the session some... so everything to the left of it will be negative, including the min:sec ruler, until it gets to bar 1, and then it will count positive again.. and if your not using a grid or tempo map, then just hide that ruler and you will see the min:sec be negative nontheless
