If you did and indeed started with a clean install of Mojave, followed by PT 2019, your computer has 16 gigs of memory and still have lots of problems, you might just as well be better off doing what you likely have already decided.

Just one question; is your laptop an i5 model or the discreet graphics model that has i7 processor? Sometimes there is a huge difference between i5 and i7 even though clock speed is the same.

EDIT: never mind, missed the post where you said i7

Hard to explain. If you have done a full clean new install of everything, the only thing left to try are NVRAM and SMC reset. And I would also be looking through the hardware and system log for any unusual messages. But chances of a reset fixing stuff is likely very slim. At about this point I would be throwing out the computer.

Janne, you are from Finland... You must have heard of the Helsinki syndrome? That’s where hostages on forums start to think their jokes are funny.

(In English it was I have *no clue*... what last ditch things are left? NVRAM/SMC? Unlikely. Failing memory... unlikely if not seeing other symptoms, and often a waste of time running diags unless there is a clearer fail. Corrupted installers? Mistakes like running system migration utility?. ... if the tests were done carefully it is time to give up)).

Yes, I have watched my Die Hard II too many times. Besides that movie, no such syndrome exists. Medical professionals know it as Stockholm syndrome but they changed the name (a nice joke btw) because the movie was directed by Renny Harlin, a finn. All of his movies have a Finland-related joke, such as jumping from a cliff on Cliffhanger and then the parachute is made of our flag.

Back to the point though, but thank you for the pun
