Apogee Symphony does not work in Yosemite

I'm using Pro Tools 11HD with an Apogee Symphony thru their Symphony 64/Thunderbridge box. Ever since upgrading to Yosemite, the audio will randomly cut out of Symphony audio (Port 1:32 channel) and the only solution is to reboot the entire computer. In AudioMIDI setup, Symphony 64/Thunderbridge is still selected, but the speaker icon (which tells you it's active) goes missing. Usually there is no sound, or the sound switches to Mac built-in audio. This can happen in the middle of playback, or when simply idle. I've called Apogee on this twice, and they acknowledged that they have been receiving reports of this. Happens at least 15 times in any given workday. Impossible to work quickly with this happening. Any other similar reports, or tips to get through this? Apogee may or may not be working on a fix.

Have you tried toggling the sample rate in AudioMIDI setup?
