Default Re: This pop up prevents me from starting Pro Tools

I get this pop up:

CPU usage is holding off USB audio. Remove some plug-ins, delete some tracks, or increase the "H/W Buffer Size" in the Playback Engine dialogue. (-9136)

I went to the Playback Engine and increased the size form 512 to 1024 Samples.

The same pop up happened after I increased the size. Here are the other settings:
The other settings are: 2 processors and 85% CPU Usage Limit
DAE Playback Buffer Size: Level 2
Cache size normal.

As of now I cannot get a session to record.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

You give zero system info; without that we're just shooting in the dark.

All we know is you're on a Mac; guessing from the comment about selecting # of cpus and the percentage you're on PT10 or lower. Other than that - zero/zip/zilch/nada. Lots of good people here but we're not mind readers or psychics.

Any help is really appreciated as I cannot record anything due to the pop up.

This thread was started without my knowledge from a former thread which included my specifications.
Here they are below:

My specs:
Pro Tools LE 8 version 8.0
Mac OSX 10.5.8 Leopard
2.53 GHZ Intel Core 2 Duo
Memory: 4GB 1067 Mhz DDR3
computer: Mac Book Pro

Way before my time with PT. Wish I could help.

What will help is to put your system specs in your profile with a note either in a post or your sig file to look in your profile for the system specs. A lot of posters do that here - saves time having to repeat or remember to put them in when asking a question.
