ILOK auths when usin' 7.4 and 8.0??

DIGI, hopin' to get an offical response here too...

i've read the updatin' and patchin' to-do's when goin' from V7 to V8 and when there are BF, Pultec, auths and such on one's ILOK. well i'm still kinda confused 'cause my situation has me usin' both versions of PTLE. so if i do these updates/patches for the certain plugins mentioned will i have any problems usin' the ILOK when i boot up and use 7.4 after the pathces/updates are applied? thanks

Alot of the bomb factory plugs for version 8 dont require an Ilok, anyone can download them for free right from the Digidesign site.

hey mykhal, i have had no issues with using both 7.x and 8.x on my system and the auth's are all on the same ilok that always stay plugged in. i might not have the same plugs but my digi-bombfactory plugs, mcdsp,soundtoys,tl audio plugs etc. are all fine.

steve, this is what has me confused . take a look when you got sec. i had plugs that came with the 002 Factory Toolkit waaaay back in the day. last thing i want to do is put some freakin' patch on my ILOK auths for V8 and it screws up my 7.4 system. as of yet, i haven't installed the updated plugs for V8. lemme know what ya think

i would try it w/o the patch first. i am running bf3a for instance and bought it years ago and have done no patch or anything for it.

yeah i was gonna last nite and just got too tired. thought i'd post before goin' back in tonite. but yeah, i'll try that first
