Default Uninstall PT Before installing 10.3.3

Hey guys Avid recommends a full uninstall before updating to 10.3.3, I'm on 10.2, if I uninstall this will that work or do I need 10.0? Thanks

Rob

I am pretty sure that 10.2 will work as it was a full install I think, but you might need to check.

What OS are you running.. ?
I read some thing in the Mountain Lion OS updating to PT 10.3.3, that they were recommending you do a "clean install", which did not make sense to me, since I do not thing that is possible with the OS update from Lion to Mountain Lion.

UNLESS they are just talking about what you are saying here? Just wondering.

I'm on 10.6.8, I think you're right that 10.2 is a FULL INSTALL... Can anybody confirm this?

Here is from the Installation notes page.. I dug a bit and found it.

Installation
Pro Tools 10.3.3 is a full installer. Avid recommends uninstalling your current version prior to installing 10.3.3 (reinstall the Drivers for your interface after a Clean Uninstall).
Pro Tools 10.x uses a single installer for both Pro Tools and Pro Tools HD. The installation is the same for both; only the authorization is different.

I just did this on Mountain Lion. I uninstalled 10.2 (using the safe mode...the recommended option). Then I installed 10.3.3, and no problems. There were some preferences, especially IO things I had to re-adjust, but it seems to be running smooth as silk.

You do realize that they are talking about a full clean install of ProTools, not the OS, right?
