Edit window view changes after committing tracks

Does anyone know why in protools 12:

If you commit a track while looking at the edit window, after it finishes committing the edit window view jumps to the the top (first track).

So if the track I'm committing is one of the last tracks (at the bottom of the edit window). It will after committing it will jump to to the first track (top of the edit window).

I hope that makes sense and maybe there's a work around. It's quite annoying when committing a lot of tracks and having to scroll back down.

hi Chris, i just tested here .. not doing that .. here it adds the Commited Track below the last track selected and the edit window just moves up to show the newly created Commited track ..

what version of PT12 and mac or PC .. ???

Thanks for the reply. Mac Sierra Protools 12.8.3.

On mine it creates the committed track below the last track also, but then the view jumps up to the top.

Hopefully someone will know why.

Hi Chris,

I recognize this thread is a couple of years old, but I am trying to track a specific problem here.

Do you still have this issue with the edit window "jumping" after committing tracks?

Are you running Eucon and/or a control surface when it happens?

Does the problem stop when you deselect "Edit Window Follows Bank Selection" in Pro Tools > Setup > Preferences > Mixing > Controllers?
