PROBLEM: PT LE 7.4 Intel Imac OSX 10.4.11 SHUTTING DOWN!!!

i am running PT LE 7.4 on a 20" imac 2.4 Duo Core2 Intel on OSX 10.4.11 and I am having problems with the session just shutting randomly down when I try to play or record. It happens about once every 5-10 minutes. I can't get ANYTHING DONE!!! Digi this is very very frustrating. I was having this same problem in 7.3 w/ 10.4.9 hoping 7.4 would fix the problem. It didn't so I tried updating the OS to 10.4.11 and I am still having the problem!!! PLEASE PLEASE HELP! I have a new full length CD to record soon and I don't want my clients getting pissed at the sessions dropping out all the time!

Sounds like a corrupt plug-in or something installed causing PT to crash.

What happens if you move your entire plug-ins folder to the desktop and run the session for 10 minutes with no plug-ins?

Also, have you tried trashing the digidesign databases folder (and the preferences) off every drive?

and, what Digi interface are you using?

there have been reported kernal panics with USB interfaces on the unsupported Santa Rose based Mac's, such as yours. But it doesn't sound like the OS is crashing from what you're saying right?

those are good suggestions! I am currently using IZOTOPE OZONE 3, Toontrack DFHS, Waves SSL, and a couple Massey demos otherwise eveything else is stock at the moment.

I'll give them a shot later tonight when I get home. Thanks a lot guys! you're the best!
