EW Play 6 - good/bad news

Don't know when it came out but East West has kicked loose with a new Play engine - Play 6. Supposedly a bunch of improvements. That's the good news.

Now for the bad news - they're charging for it

$30US.

This is a first that I know of because when Play 5 came out there was no charge nor for Play 3 to Play 4 either. They have GOT to be kidding with this. Now if this is the long-talked about Play Pro then maybe I can see it - notice I said maybe.

Was just over perusing the EW forums (not a member there anymore so I can't post) and it seems that veen the hardcore EW users aren't happy with this deal. Several members who use Cubase 9.x on Windows are having crash issues. Turns out that apparently according to an EW person/moderator that their beta testers never put it into a daw but just worked with the standalone.
