Default \"Session loading please wait...\" message on DM1000

I've just gone from 6.2 to 6.4 and it's a slow process... I'm sure it'll all be worth it in the end, but I don't think I've ever posted quite so regularly!

My DM1000 works fine (in the things I've tried so far), but when I load a session, the display reads "Session loading, please wait..." and it doesn't go away. Any ideas?

10.3.4, PT HD2 6.4, dp1.25GHz G4 with 1.75GB RAM.
