Default Command8 & PT9 Problems?

Are there any known problems with running the Command8 with PT9?
According to device manager, drivers are installed.
In PT9 I set it up in peripherals like I have with earlier versions, and all the required "parts" were there to be selected.
But the Command8 just doesn't come online.
Are there new separate drives anywhere?

There are new command8 drivers on the same driver update link from your other thread.

Command8 is working well over here on PT9.

Gaaa!
I used Key's link which gave me the 002 drivers direct.

How non-forum types of people are supposed to work all this out I'll never know!

If you're on Win7 try disabling DEP completely then re-installing the drivers. I had problems getting PT9 drivers installed because DEP was still active.

How do you shut it off completely?

Er... you're trying to install PT9 in Win7 without reading the Avid Win7 Optimisation document?! I'm surprised you've got as far as you have! LOL!

•Open the Start menu and type "cmd" (without the quotations). The Result you get should be "cmd.exe".
•Right-click on "cmd.exe" and choose "Run as administrator".
•Click the Allow button if it asks you for permission.
•Type or copy & paste this into the command prompt window: bcdedit.exe /set {current} nx AlwaysOff
•Hit enter and you should see the confirmation: Operation Completed Successfully.
•Restart the computer and DEP should be off.

Double check it is off though because the first time I did it it didn't 'stick'.

No guarantee it'll solve your problem but it certainly enabled me to finally get PT9 installed.

This is getting more complex every upgrade.
I've been installing PT on Windows machines since 5.1, but this is my first experience with Win 7.
I've only ever looked at optimisation if I needed more performance.
My largest session opens quite happilly in PT9, so I think why would I start now?
The only thing that won't work is the Command8.

Anyhoo, I'll give that a crack.

Keep the ideas coming.

still can't get his going.

DEP is off.
Nothing in the Command 8 readme seems to exist on my system.
I have no firmware updater.
When I run the PT9 installer and modify, it doesn't give a command 8 option.
And it says there should be a file in program files/digidesigh called "Command8DriverInstaller.bat", but there isn't.

Does anyone please have a clue what's happening?

Double-check your cable, connections and network settings?
