Hi guys, does anyone know if you can use Avid HD interface with Logic 10?
Thanks for the help.

Yes you use the CoreAudio support to do this. If Pro Tools is not already installed just install the drivers for your hardware. You of course get no DSP/HDX Processing and you only get to use the first HDX card. You should go read all the documentation on this.

I only see the pro tools aggregate in the Logic I/O not the HDX card and thats what I would like to use, Pro Tools is already installed, so I am not sure what I am doing wrong here

It does not show up at all in Audio/MIDI setup? As an option within the aggregate IO device?

See if it helps http://avid.force.com/pkb/articles/e.../HDX-CoreAudio

Failing that I would try reinstalling the appropriate HDX drivers.

Ok, Darryl, I did all the things you said I should but I still have greyed out HDX and can't change anything, yes I reinstalled the drivers and restarted the computer, made no difference, got anymore ideas I can try?

While launching Protools, hold down the "N" key. Hopefully that will bring you to a box where you can choose HDX.

If this works, you won't have to do it again, as HDX should show up from now on.

Pro Tools?

I am not sure how any of that is going to help use the HDX interface in Logic Pro.

I find it strange that no one from Avid has said anything or why there is nothing in the knowledge base about this

This is a user forum, Avid staff do not post here often. If you want to contact Avid you can purchase an ASC and call support, or you might have a complimentary ASC with your purchase. You also posted this in a general forum area. I would you'd try reposting this question in the "Pro Tools HDX & HD Native Systems (Mac)" forum with a title like "CoreAudio with HDX" (it's not really a Logic specific question). More HDX customers are likely to see it there. Explain clearly what OS X version and Mac etc. you are on.

I know this should work, but don't have a HDX system to test it on here.
