Default Setting Modwheel on external controller

Hello,

I'm running pro tools 8 LE. I use a cheap casio keyboard for midi note entry and it works perfectly fine. It has a pitch bend wheel that works fine in pro tools. My question is, can I assign this pitch bend wheel to work as CC1 modulation or CC11 expression for playing and writing automation? I can't figure out a way to do it. Is this something that would need to be set in pro tools, or is it something that would need to be set on the external controller? I don't think I can change that information on the cheap casio that I have, so I'm hoping it's a pro tools setting.

Thanks,
Jon

Can't be done inside PT; you'd need some kind of third party utility to do the deed. Keep in mind that pitch bend does not send the usual 128 step MIDI cc data.

Please keep in mind that it's against the TOS to have duplicate posts on the same subject in different sub-forums. I'm referencing your post in the Tips & Tricks forum.
