Cannot invite other collaborators... How?

Cannot find ANY good documentation about Cloud Collaboration (now I've signed up...doh!)

So - the ONLY window I can find is this "Artist Chat"

Currently at "No user connections to display"

If I type into "invite contacts to collaborate" is that somebodies email address?
Their AVID user name???

Any help would be greatly appraecited!!!!

In my experience, cloud collaboration is completely broken and not worth the headache. It seems hard to believe that it doesn't work properly as it's a majorly advertised feature in the "industry standard" software, but I've never heard a single story of anyone using it successfully without tons of issues.

That being said, if you're stubborn like I am you'll continue trying to use it. So in regards to your question, you should be able to type in someone's actual first and last name and have them show up in the search. Email address will also work I believe. If you click on your profile icon in the artist collab window inside a project, there's an option to make sure you are searchable. This edit profile window will only work like 1 out of 10 times of course, so keep that in mind.

The other thing is, if you think you're doing everything right, you probably are and it's literally just pro tools collaboration being actually broken. In a lot of cases there aren't any real indicators that it's not working properly and it just feels like you're not understanding how it's supposed to work but that's probably not the case. One day it will just start working properly. But that will be short lived. And then the cycle will continue.

My best advice, don't use Cloud collab and don't use Pro Tools First. Share sessions with wetransfer, dropbox or similar.
