Default Metronome gone wild

I am trying to record a blues tune in 12/8 time at dotted quarter=74. I’ve set this in Pro Tools, and both of these settings are verified and showing in the Transport window. When the track gets to the fifth measure, the tempo speeds up and converts to 4/4 time. The tempo/beat settings in the Transport window still say 12/8, 74. Any idea what I am doing wrong?

Do you have the tempo- and measure-rulers showing in the edit window?
Any markers there indicating tempo/measure change?

Thanks, Ben. I’m not sure what I’m looking for, but I expanded the Tempo timeline and don’t see any markers.

Ben—I thought I had successfully responded, but. I wasn’t familiar with the markers, found them, deleted them, and problem was solved. Thank you!

That's great!
I got the email notification that you replied just ten minutes ago. Three weeks delayed! The DUC is crawling! :-(
