Recording time limit
Is there a way to record longer than 24 hours?

Re: Recording time limit
Normal WAV has limited file size but with 64bit goodness and RF64 extension to broadcast wave you should be record as many bits as filesystem allows.
Now it is completely another story what happens when you have two time codes that say 00:00:00:01 -- have not tried Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Re: Recording time limit
You'll fill the largest available hard drive long before you reach filesystem limits. On a Mac, you could theoretically record in stereo at 192kHz for about 22 thousand years if your drive were large enough.

Re: Recording time limit
I expect the 24 hour limit is inherent in the SMPTE spec. Probably possible for Avid to customize it, if customer demand got high enough, but I'd hate to have to deal with the compatibility headaches when mixing for video.

Re: Recording time limit
In BWAV the TC is "burned" in the files but with regular WAV files there should be no problem.
I have to do a documentation of about 6 - 8 microphones for a whole week (monday to friday). Then it starts again. It has to be PT and nobody ist there who is restarting the record after 24 hours.
