Default Pitch N Time alternative

Is there any viable alternative to Serato's Pitch N Time for changing pitch or tempo of tracks? I've tried whatever version of this has came with PT through the years and never been pleased with the results. So before I bite the bullet and drop $800 on a plugin I only need occasionally, I'd like to know if there's anything comparable. In fact, for that kind of money there very well could be entire DAW's I could purchase that offer an acceptable pitch/tempo change plugin. Thanks......

I haven't found anything that compares to Pitch 'n Time Pro. IMHO, it's the best there is.

I agree with Tom, but the "lite" version is actually very powerful(try the free demo as you might get off for way less than $800)

Whichever version you get, don't pay full price. AudioDeluxe has Pitch N Time Pro and LE for $679 and $339, respectively.

Here's a rundown of the differences between the Pro and LE versions. Looks like for straight-forward pitch and tempo changes, LE will perform the exact same as Pro.

Nothing, (in my experience), stretches like P-n-T Pro. Nothing.

Celemony for pitch, PnT Pro for stretch.

Waves Soundshifter in graphic mode has been my AAX tool replacing PnT.
However I do like and use P n T Pro in PT's 10
and they do offer AAX64 upgrade it's just not on my shortlist with the wave SS softening the blow.

Waves SoundShifter won a shootout I did for changing pitch by quite a bit but only after up-sampling the audio to 96k. I almost didn't even bother trying it because it is so old but I'm sure glad I did!

I would give SoundShifter a go again, but that GUI bug is still wreaking havoc.

iZotope Radius, which is the algorithm found in X-Form, has always been my first choice for extreme pitch mangling.

Nothing works like Pitch n Time for music. However, I have had decent results with X-Form (from Avid). SoundShifter as well on certain things.

Also, nothing matches the standard Avid Time Compression/Expansion plug-in for dialog, not even Pitch n Time in "V" mode.
