I must say the performance advantage is rather minimal for what I do. The machine boots faster (which helps since PT11 needs quite a lot of re-starts every day because of the AVE) but working in PT feels pretty much the same. But I don't use huge VIs that need to load GBs of samples in every session.
On paper the speed is much faster, in reality It's not a big step. At least not for what I do.

I'm finding things to be a lot snappier, but I'm on a MacPro 1.1, upgraded to an 8 core.
