Default BUG? Delay Compensation/Automation/Sends

OK. I'm starting to think I have stumbled across a bug which I am going to need help swatting.

Scenario:

1 stereo effects track with a transient effect lasting 2 frames
1 stereo aux return track with a reverb plugin.

Post fade send on the effects track to excite the reverb plugin on the aux return track.

When I automate the effects track fader around the transient effect so that the fader is -INF (no level) there should be NO signal sent to the Auxiliary return.

However, there is signal getting out of the effects send into the reverb plugin - it is clearly visible on the meters and clearly audible.

I have narrowed it down to the delay compensation engine - which does not appear to be taking any notice of the fader automation and is working entirely on a pre-fade basis. I am doing a hard cut in the automation - and the further back I move it - eventually the sound disappears. However, the fade is audible even with the cut positioned before the start of the effect clip.

Delay compensation is set to Max (16384 samples)

Expected behaviour should be that there is no signal sent via a post-fade send under any circumstances if the fader is -INF.

Any AVID PT Devs on this list? Anyone confirm this?

I'm working on Mac, PT 10.3.7

Thx, Mark.

bump.

Any ideas on how to work around this? Is there a way to submit bug reports without having to fork out money for support? ;-)

Maybe post it on :

Maybe let somebody else confirm this, too.

And, if you could be so kind to confirm my problem ? :
