Default Update TDM plugins?

I recently brought my Pro Tools rig out of retirement and upgraded from PT 8.x HD TDM on a Mac G5 .... over to PT 10/12 HD Native on a Windows machine.

Slowly but surely I have been trying to update my plugins that I have already purchased licenses for, to be compatible with the new system.

I have a bunch of TDM/RTAS plugin licenses for the old system, many of which were purchased as a multi plug bundle from Digidesign, such as Massive Pack 4 just to name one bundle.

My question is this ... is there a way to update that bundle ... or link to the vendors through an Avid portal for that bundle, or do I have do contact each plug-in vendor individually and find a solution?

I also had a pro tools bundle from years ago. Although it came as a bundle the licenses were deposited for each plugin individually into my ilok account. You can simply go to the plugins page for each one and download and install the ones that were ported to 64bit AAX and they will work. Not all the old plugins were upgraded to 64 bit so you need to check the plugin compatability list to see which ones you can even use now. The ones that are only 32 bit cannot be used in PT11 or 12.

Hi,

I am using a Mac, but I need to do the same thing with my old plugins. When you say "go to the plugins page for each one and download and install the ones that were ported to 64bit AAX", do you mean its free? Where are the plugins pages?

Thanks,

MD

Hi,

You need the dedicated Massive pack installers for TDM/RTAS.

This page should help...

http://avid.force.com/pkb/articles/e...nload/en355143

For AAX versions you will need to source each installer seperately and see if they work, but if you have Massive Pack licences they probably won't activate the latest AAX full versions as MP versions were special bundled versions sold as a multi bundle at a discount price and cannot be seperated etc
