C|24 won't turn on, power supply "ticking"

Went to turn on my C|24 today and when I turned on the switch on the power supply it started making a ticking sound and a green LED inside the supply started flashing (in time with the tick) but wouldn't power up the C|24. I disconnected the power cable from the back of the C|24 and tried again and this time the supply fired up and the green LED went solid. I plugged it back in to the C|24 again and powered it up but got the ticking again. So obviously the supply is not working properly as when it has the current load of the C|24 on it it will not power up.

Has anyone else had a similar issue? I'm suspecting the power supply is almost dead and I either need a new one or maybe they can repair this one. If that's the case do I have to purchase the support ticket from the AVID web store?
