OK..

This can't be the same Live that is currently available.

I have a blue, red, green, and black jack and all are in mini in's and out's. There can't be S/PDIF here..

I'm going crazy now.

There used to be two different SB Live models when the first came out. The lower priced model didn't have SPDIF on it at all. I think they called this the Value model.

I Purchased what I think might have been called the Platinum model that had an additional header card (ie: it took up a spot in the back up the computer, but didn't actually take up a slot on the motherboard) that had SPDIF and a few other connections on it.

I think they may still do something similar, so it is possible to have two people with SBLive cards having different connectors.

Ps. Now all that is left is making Logic run with Digi 001 smoothly.

I would look at one of the ADAT-only RME cards. They are relatively cheap, very efficient and with the right host you would have 8 outputs instead of the 2 via spdif.

I have to agree with Jayman#9. I have a multiface and it works great.

And for the ultimate vst host try out a great app called 'Chainer'

NewYorkSound do you use the right cable for your connection? I'm asking you this because i use this trick several years without backgound noise... ( a little sure about 80 dB SNR not more) and i use a simple stereo minijack to cinch cable with 2 adaptators cinch jack mono 6.3mm Or maybe you have this background noise already internal in your sound card? loop mass problems? and i use too (other computer) a soundblaster audigny which have SPDIF and soundfonts... it's a cheap card but still work well...

sorry for my english...

Hi,

This is brilliant!!! I was kind of bumbed because I bought a minipc (a shuttle) and it only has one pci slot, so I can't put in an extra soundcard, but now I notice it has an optical out. Can I use the onboard sound and send that into the DIGI 001 PCI card? That would be frigin great!!!!

Paul
