Default Solo a region

It seems I stumbled upon a way to solo an individual region. Like in Logic Pro if you hit "S" with a region selected it will solo only that region. Is there something similar in Pro Tools? I'm almost positive I used to be able to do it but now I can't find a shortcut anywhere. I'm on the most recent version of PTs and I'd love some help on this. Basically I need to be able to solo just the selected region without having to hit the "s" on the track bar. Thanks!

Not exactly a shortcut but you can mute unwanted regions on a track if that helps.

One way is to select a region in a track, it should then show up as being highlighted in the regions list. Option+click and hold over the name of the highlighted region. (ver 7.3 anyway) The cursor should reflect a change looking like a speaker and you should hear the audio of that region. It's real quick. It only works for audio regions.

Maybe even quicker is to have the audiosuite window open with just gain as a plugin. (you don't need to make any slider adjustments) Select the region, then click on preview of audiosuite.

From the shortcuts PDF //

Solo tracks that contain the Edit cursor or Edit selection = Shift+S
