I also have some few note cutoffs.
I thought this was my old Roland A80's fault or bad contact in my sustain pedal.
When i look at the sustain controller(#64) view i notice there are some inbetween values now and then.
I thought there should be either 0 or 127 value on the sustain controller.
It is when the values are in between 0 and 127 I have these note cutoffs.
Can anyone with these problems look in the controller lane and check the values.
Maybe it isnt the A80 afterall??

For us to investigate this further, please tell us:

1. What synths this is happening with and the version number of the synth you're using.
2. What MIDI interface you're using
3. Do you have any ReWire instruments in the session
4. What controller keyboard you're using and how is it connected (MIDI or USB)
5. Pro Tools version and computer specs

1. Reason 3.05-Combinator Or NN-XT. Also happening with Kontakt 2.1.
2. Emagic Unitor 8
3. Yes, Reason through rewire.
4. Yamaha S-80 through the unitor 8.
5. Computer dual 2.7 gig with 2.5 megs ram OS 10.4.7 running ProTools HD 7.1.1. This problem has been happening as long as recent memory will permit. I believe all the way back to 6.9.2. But really began to notice it in 7 and up.

yeah this is really turning into a nightmare..audio works fine in 7.2 but midi especially with virtual synths is just terrible. midi messages are all jumbled not only sustain control but if you check your velocity even when controller is set to fixed you see jumps..don't know if it is a midi io problem or something in the software..although it was working just fine in 6+. also soft synths slow the system down to a crawl..

In short, this sustain pedal issue is appalling and highly unprofessional...We spent just spent $70,000 between two rooms assured that everything was 'working' properly.

this is a very serious issue..it is defenitly getting old..i am so tired of redrawing sustain comands especially after each punch in on midi..happens with every soft synth..and virtual instrument when a sustain pedal is in use..in fact there are problems with pressure sensitive keyboard when set on variable.
