Default Receiving end doesn\'t get delivery notice

We've got a contract mix engineer out of Canada who claims to have never received any delivery notices for material that has been posted on the Digidelivery for him. Corresponding with him via e-mail has never been a problem. My first suspicion is that his ISP is filtering the incoming e-mail and identifies the delivery notice as spam. Has anyone else had this problem, and if so, how did you resolve it? Can anyone think of any other reasons as to why delivery notices fail to reach him? And before someone asks, yes we are sending to the correct e-mail address. Thanks.

This is the #1 cause of messages not being received. He should contact the ISP to see if they can determine if that's the problem. Is he behind any other kind of network, as there may be filtering there as well. Also, there is a chance the email server may be rejecting emails that are 'relayed' - where the 'sender' domain name is not the same as the domain in the email.

Are you receiving the 'Delivery Posted' emails properly?

Yes, we are getting the delivery posted confirmation e-mails.

If his server happens to be rejecting relayed e-mail, what recourse does he have?

I just checked the domain name of his ISP and they happen to provide web-based e-mail service rather than POP3. Does this have any effect?

I have also been seeing this problem recently and I solved it temporarily by sending the delivery to my address (where I receive the notification immediately) and then forwarding that to the email recipient, this works 100% of the time so far. I don't see this problem unless the deliveries are to the US from Australia, local Deliveries are fine. I have had correspondence with the support team but so far they have no answers.

Thanks for the tip. I also saw the one you left in thread about resending a notice. It's a pretty simple work-around. I only wish that I had thought of it.
