Please give us an iPhone app for the DUC!!

The AIR user blog app is a little unwieldy - it has the DUC there, but it's all jumbled into one list.

Of course, a dedicated DUC app would take time from developers to work on PT (not really) and I'd rather have a better PT (it can always get better, right?)

And to be honest, I think the GS app kinda sucks.

I'm constantly on the DUC on my iPhone... I am at this very moment sat behind my drums and supposed to be working...

The only problem I have with using the iPhone on the DUC is the size of the page forward buttons, which are much too small to accurately press without zooming... And for some reason the double-click to zoom doesn't often work on them...
If those buttons were a larger font (say twice the size) then navigating the pages would be much easier...

vBulletin has one in the works. I imagine it would work with the DUC but maybe Avid has to enable it.

We've been following the progress of the vBulletin app, and it looks promising.

It's interesting that this came up today, since we have been looking into this very topic for awhile, and just added this over the weekend:

Tapatalk is a forum app on the iPhone, Android, BlackBerry (free) and Nokia (free).

You can download the free read-only version for iPhone from here:

The same page has information on Tapatalk for other mobile devices as well.

Still working on configuring this on the DUC. Although viewing threads in the app is working on an iPhone, logging in is not working in my testing today. Regardless of whether using the free or paid version of the app. So for now, I would recommend just the free version if you are only using it to browse the DUC. Obviously, if you can't login through the app, the posting features in the paid ($2.99USD) version for iPhone would not be there.

Wow! Very cool app -- and very fast! Much, much, MUCH faster than a browser running vB... the app must know the vB protocol and just suck the data from the database -- no rendering wait. GREAT for iPhone. I would pay $2.99 if/when it could be configured for the DUC posting,

In the mean time, for reading/browsing, it's pretty freaking great. Thanks for sharing.

The gearslutz app (free) runs quite well. The only drawbacks are some forum refresh issues I've noticed as well as it not remembering the last forum you were in. Other than that it's a nice compliment to the main site.
