Default Alternative to Waves MV2?

Anyone know of any alternatives to Waves MV2? I kinda hit my budget on plug-ins and software and it looks like a useful tool.

OTT is a multiband compressor, MV2 is a low level compressor. I don't know any cheaper than MVP when it's on sale, right now it's $29, check out your personal daily deals or use my code and get it for around $26 or even cheaper if you are lucky to combine both

According to Jack Joseph Puig there is NO alternative. He said if Waves stop it he is leaving

His tip was to use it on vocals. It does something no other plugin does on the voice.

The technology is borrowed from C1 but the simplicity of MV2 (just one fader and output level) is unbeatable, even by MaxxVolume so JJP is essencially right.

I love this plug in and I think it's very underated. I use MV2 or surround MV360 in 75% of my tv/doc mixes. I'm not aware of another low level compressor that's as easy to us as this.

Its magic is that it can simultaneously turn down stuff that's too loud (like a conventional downward compressor) and also turn up stuff that's too soft.

It's awesome for that and it's easy.

If you want to tweak, look at the McDSP ML4000. It can do the same thing (and more!) in a four band multi-band configuration giving you control of absolutely everything - with a mastering grade limiter on the output to keep it all in check.

Both of these are underrated plugins for sure!

"The Compressor function is similar to that of Waves Renaissance Vox."

Yes, that's the other half of it, part of what makes it so useful, but not unique
