Default Has Digi announced the \'init\' hard drive slow up? G-3 & G-4

G-3 and non AGP G-4 users all should read: http://www.digidesign.com/ubb/Forum24/HTML/001436.html

This belong here. Not the 37th post over in the 001 section (shaggy ends his rant here)

">>Any new news from Digi about the INIT slowdown?<<"

"We have confirmed that this is an issue with our 5.0 DSI and B&W G3's and non-AGP G4's. Our testing indicates that you should not encounter this slowdown on other Apple CPUs.

We are currently working on a fix for this. This fix will then need to go through our testing grid. This should take about +/- 2 weeks barring unforseen problems.

Once we have a solid fix we should be able to post a CPR build of the new DSI for customers with this problem."
