Export the MIDI as a Standard MIDI File.. and the audio from bar 1 as continuous audio files.

So if I export the MIDI as its own file, should I export the audio as .wav or SD2 files. He can read both, I don't know if there is an advantage to either of the formats.

SD2 is not an option on the PC.

I would assume that if I export the MIDI from the begining as well as the audio, the two will line up when imported into something else, is this true? Thanks for your help.

The SMF Type 1 file should include the tempo info, and all the MIDI tracks.. so it'll define your bar 1. When you now import your audio - just place it at the right bar number.
