I have a valid subscription for Pro Tools 12 and also have received notification that my license has expired.

Same problem here. I haven't been able to open Pro Tools for the past 5 days because of a license issue (I'm a monthly subscriber, with an up-to-date subscription for which, btw, AVID never fails to charge me!).
Contacted tech support. We'll see. This is EXACTLY why many people hate software subscriptions schemes. Even though you pay for it on a regular basis, there's always a risk that because of some screwup from either the software developer or the licensing third-party, you can't use your software when you need it. And of course it happens completely unannounced when you least expect it. Infuriating. |

It's avid's problem, probably has something to do with it being the new year, ilok and avid need to solve their crap. Alot of users are reporting this.

I'm having the same issue. Opened a support ticket and posted in a forum with no responses. I have 2 sessions I need to be working on and am losing money every day this week. I have been charged for a product I cannot use and that is unacceptable.

Avid should be giving those of us suffering from this appalling service a "free" month extension to our contract each and every time we have to go through it.

Looks like Avid has issued me a temporary license 42 minutes after my last post. Now, I can get back to work. Hopefully they clear this issue up before this license expires. I do expect a partial refund for the time I was unable to use PT from 2:36 PM on 01-24-16 till today at 1:42 PM. Thank you.

so who AT AVID can explain what is going on? Every call I make to support is always this, it's "hey sir, temp license has been deposited" do I have to call every month to get a temp license for this ilok to work, on my annual subscription? I'm glad AU do what they do.
Sorry, someone at Avid or iLok needs to answer this damn question and tell us what is going on because obviously it's not just me that it's not renewing on. |
