I think the Waves one nailed whatever hardware they modeled, Volko is every bit as good except for the lack of saturation which IMO is not too important. Of course this is completely irrelevant but I wanted to piss off TNM a bit :)

i wouldn't have been had you left the lie out.. I use and love many waves plugins and have spent thousands with them over the years.. So.. nice try..

Just because I don't like CLA comps and scheps channel and a few others, does not mean i have uncontrolled hate for waves plugins.

I love the way people can blatantly lie publicly about someone and the mods don't give a ****. Amazing.

The API 550 replaced the Motown/Langevin graphic in my life after I left Motown.

Good to know Bob... by the way, how do thing the API measures up against it?? I imagine the older Motown MAY be a little over romanticised, as is often known to happen when the modern generation looks back on all the old gear.

They are different but each has the 800 Hz. peak which was what I missed.
